Good message example
The best message usually includes:
- the order reference if the user already has one
- what happened
- what they expected
- what payment method was used
- what help they need
What happens after submission
Depending on website settings, the form may do one or both of these actions:
- send the message by email
- create a support ticket
So the customer may receive either:
- a normal success message
- a support-ticket-created message
- or both
Common mistakes
- entering an invalid email address
- writing only "help" with no real details
- forgetting the order reference
- failing captcha
- using the contact form for questions already answered in the FAQ
Best practice for admins
If you want fewer support delays:
- keep the contact list updated in Contacts
- keep your FAQ updated in FAQ
- keep support workflow ready in Support Tickets
